Thirty-one of the 39 pupils rescued from kidnappers in Oriire, Oyo State, have been discharged by LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, while eight remain under medical observation, Daily Post reports.
The victims, abducted on May 15 and rescued on July 10, first received treatment at the Military Hospital in Ibadan before being handed over to the Oyo State government and moved to LAUTECH for further care.
Hospital spokesperson Omotayo Ogunleye confirmed the development, noting that the remaining eight students would be discharged soon, though she did not disclose details of their health conditions.
