Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, has promised free education for all Nigerians if elected in 2027, according to Vanguard.
The pledge, made on X, comes amid controversy over a proposed WAEC and NECO fee hike from N27,500 to N50,000, which the government suspended following backlash.
Sowore vowed his administration would abolish all public examination fees and guarantee free education from early childhood through university, calling it “a revolutionary commitment” rather than a political promise.
The federal government has yet to announce a new fee policy.
