Military sources have confirmed that Lieutenant F.A. Isaac was killed in action during the July 10 operation that rescued 44 abducted pupils and teachers from Old Oyo National Park, where they had been held captive since their abduction from Oriire Local Government Area on or about June 6, 2026.

Sources said Lieutenant Isaac was among the officers leading the operation when he was fatally wounded.
