Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has urged his critics to permit him to pursue his political career, insisting that politics remains his fundamental calling. He made the remarks during a “thank you” visit to his home local government, Obio/Akpor, in Rivers State, which concluded his tour of the state’s local government areas.
Wike emphasized his deliberate choice of politics as a profession, stating, “I am a politician. Choose whatever you want to do in life.” He advised individuals to define their chosen path clearly, remain focused, and avoid distractions, noting that political power is not freely given but requires strength and participation.
