Tinubu postpones Ogun trip, heads to Jos over Plateau killings

President Tinubu has reshuffled his multi-state tour to visit Plateau State for a condolence mission before proceeding with scheduled project commissionings in Ogun, Lagos, and Bayelsa.

President Bola Tinubu has adjusted his official itinerary to prioritize a condolence visit to Jos, Plateau State, following recent deadly attacks, effectively postponing his scheduled trip to Iperu, Ogun State, until Saturday, April 4. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President will “sympathise with the state government and residents” in Plateau before traveling to Lagos for Good Friday.

The updated schedule includes the commissioning of the Gateway International Cargo Airport and new Nigerian Customs Service facilities in Ogun State, followed by the inauguration of several infrastructure projects in Lagos, such as the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge. The four-state tour is slated to conclude on April 10 with a visit to Bayelsa State to commission projects under Governor Duoye Diri’s administration.
