Swedish man charged for selling wife’s sexual services to 120 men

A 62-year-old man in Sweden has been charged with aggravated pimping and eight counts of rape after allegedly forcing his wife to perform sexual acts for over 120 men while exploiting her drug addiction and fear.

A Swedish prosecutor on Monday, March 30, 2026, filed a severe indictment against a 62-year-old man, charging him with aggravated pimping, assault, and eight counts of rape. The suspect is accused of orchestrating the sexual exploitation of his wife in northern Sweden, allegedly selling her services to more than 120 men over a three-year period. The man was arrested in late October 2025 after the victim reported him to the authorities, and he has remained in custody since. According to the charge sheet, the defendant benefitted financially for years from pressuring his wife “to perform and submit to sexual acts,” managing everything from online advertisements to “keeping guard” during the encounters.

The prosecution’s case paints a harrowing picture of what Prosecutor Ida Annerstedt described as “ruthless exploitation.” The 62-year-old reportedly took advantage of the woman’s drug addiction and her deep-seated fear of him to maintain control. The charges detailed several psychological threats made to the plaintiff, with some of them including warnings about unleashing “the monster” if she did not comply with his demands. Beyond the physical pimping, the man allegedly forced her to perform sexual acts online to attract a larger client base. While the suspect denies all accusations, the incidents are alleged to have occurred systematically between August 2022 and October 2025.

In addition to the primary charges against the husband, Swedish authorities have made significant progress in identifying the individuals who allegedly paid for the services. In February, Prosecutor Annerstedt confirmed that authorities had identified some 120 individuals suspected of having bought sexual services during the period in question. Under Swedish law, the purchase of sex is a criminal offense, and these individuals may face separate legal consequences. As the case moves toward trial, the focus remains on the “ruthless” nature of the domestic trafficking and the years of violence the victim endured before seeking police intervention.
