Reno Omokri highlights Tinubu’s ‘21 economic achievements’

Former presidential aide Reno Omokri has outlined what he described as 21 economic achievements recorded under President Bola Tinubu, citing improvements in foreign reserves, GDP growth, oil production, financial markets, and infrastructure. In comments shared on his X account and referenced by The Guardian, Omokri said the indicators reflected areas where measurable changes were recorded across the economy, including stronger reserves, expanded trade surplus, and declining inflation.

He highlighted sector-specific gains such as increased power generation, rising non-oil revenue, expanded rail and road transport, and enhanced stability of the naira. Omokri also referenced upgraded credit ratings by Fitch and S&P, noting that economists including Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Dr. Chukwuma Soludo had acknowledged improvements. The Guardian noted that Omokri, previously a critic of the APC, has recently commended the administration.
