Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has denied allegations of hard drug abuse, saying a recent drug test cleared her of the claims. The actress addressed the issue on Wednesday via her Instagram page, breaking her silence after months of public scrutiny. She described the period as emotionally draining but said she pulled through with the support of family, friends and fans.
Regina explained that she decided to take the drug test to clear her name and reassure those who believe in her. “I took this test because I owe it to the people who stood by me, the people who love me and those who look up to me. Integrity matters. Accountability matters. Peace of mind especially matters,” she said.
Dismissing the rumours as baseless, the actress said the allegations forced her into deep self-reflection. “One thing that echoed loudly across the media was that ‘Regina is a drug addict.’ I looked at myself again and again, searching for this so-called addict,” she stated, adding that she has chosen to define her own narrative amid ongoing reports about her troubled marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko.
