While Russia and Turkey push for a diplomatic resolution to the Iran war to mitigate global economic damage, Israel has vowed to continue its devastating strikes on Iranian infrastructure in coordination with the United States.
President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan convened on Friday to address the global economic fallout of the ongoing Iran war, jointly advocating for a ceasefire that respects the “legitimate interests of all the regional states” amid “severe consequences for energy, trade, [and] logistics.” While the two leaders focused on stabilizing the Black Sea and energy sectors, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled an escalation, vowing that the Israeli military would “not stop pounding targets” until the “terrorist regime” is crushed. Netanyahu, claiming “full coordination” with President Donald Trump, highlighted the destruction of 70% of Iran’s steel production, while Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf mocked the American military involvement, deriding the conflict as a “brilliant no-strategy war” that has been “downgraded from ‘regime change’ to search for pilots.”
