Peller: TikTok ban won’t affect my income

TikTok creator Peller has dismissed claims that he will struggle financially after TikTok temporarily restricted night livestreams in Nigeria as part of an ongoing safety investigation. Nigerian users were also unable to view foreign LIVE broadcasts during the restricted hours. Reacting on Instagram, Peller said critics assumed he would “go hungry,” but insisted he earns from multiple brand endorsements, noting, “I’m an ambassador to numerous brands, and none of my endorsements is less than ₦40 million.”

Peller acknowledged that TikTok has boosted his visibility but stressed that his stability comes from long-term partnerships and regular giveaways to fans. He praised TikTok for helping young Nigerians grow faster than on Instagram, saying, “Many people will grow on TikTok… TikTok is easier to grow on.” He warned that restrictions like the night livestream ban could hurt thousands of creators and urged stakeholders to consider its economic impact.
