Nigeria Police Force opens recruitment portal for 50,000 constables

The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has begun recruiting 50,000 Police Constables in line with President Bola Tinubu’s directive. PSC said the exercise aims to boost community policing, strengthen internal security, and expand the Force’s manpower. The recruitment portal will be open from 15 December 2025 to 25 January 2026. A statement by PSC spokesperson Torty Kalu outlined qualification requirements for both General Duty and Specialists cadres.

According to the Commission, applicants must be Nigerian citizens, meet specified age limits, and be medically and physically fit. “The recruitment exercise will be conducted in the most transparent, merit-based, and credible manner,” it said, warning applicants against fraudsters. It added that applications are free and must be submitted online via the official portal. PSC encouraged eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity to serve the nation.
