The President of the Senate, Godwill Akpabio, has denied reports claiming that he collapsed and was flown to London for medical treatment. The allegation was circulated on Monday by an online news platform, sparking widespread speculation about the Senate President’s health.
Responding to the report, Akpabio’s Consultant on Communications and Strategy, Kenny Okolugbo, dismissed the claim as false. When contacted by DAILY POST for clarification, Okolugbo described the report as untrue and misleading.
According to him, there was no basis to the story, insisting that Akpabio did not collapse or travel abroad for medical attention. He told DAILY POST, “It’s a lie, fake news,” but declined to provide further details on the matter.
