Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., rejected concerns about a possible immigration fraud probe after Trump border czar Tom Homan said federal officials were reviewing records tied to long-standing allegations. Asked by Fox News Digital on Capitol Hill, Omar said there was nothing to investigate.
When questioned about Homan’s remarks and whether investigators could uncover violations, Omar replied, “I have no response because I don’t know what they’ll be investigating,” adding, “Absolutely not.” Asked why the issue keeps resurfacing, she said, “Because they’re sick!”
Homan has said files were being examined, though he noted statute-of-limitations hurdles. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said if allegations were true, Omar could face liability under marriage, tax, or state incest laws. Omar, born in Somalia, became a U.S. citizen in 2000 and has denied wrongdoing.
