Ibrahim Mahama has repurposed his private jet into an air ambulance to enhance emergency medical response and accessibility across Ghana.
Ghanaian businessman Ibrahim Mahama has sent his private jet abroad for conversion into an air ambulance aimed at strengthening emergency healthcare services in Ghana.
The aircraft, popularly known as the Dzata Jet, departed on April 3 for specialised modifications and will be equipped with advanced life-support systems to handle critical medical emergencies nationwide. The initiative is expected to boost rapid response and improve access to urgent care.
According to a statement, “The aircraft (N604EP), which left Ghana today, April 3, 2026, is expected to serve Ghanaians in critical medical emergency situations and will be fitted with the necessary life-support and care equipment to support its new mandate.” Mahama added, “This is for every Ghanaian, not for me alone.”
