The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has forecast hazy and sunny weather conditions across Nigeria from Wednesday to Friday.
In its weather outlook released on Tuesday in Abuja, NiMet predicted sunny and hazy skies over the northern region throughout the forecast period, while the southern region is expected to experience sunny conditions with patches of clouds.
The agency said isolated thunderstorms with light rain are likely over parts of Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River later in the day, while dust particles remain in suspension over the North-Central region.
For Thursday and Friday, NiMet envisaged continued sunny and hazy skies over the northern and central regions, with chances of thunderstorms and light rainfall across parts of the South, including Ogun, Lagos, Ondo, Imo, Delta, Anambra, Abia, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River at different times of the day.
The agency warned that dust haze would intensify over the northern region during the afternoon and evening hours on Friday and advised people with asthma and other respiratory conditions to take precautionary measures in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
