Golf fans wear Tiger Woods mugshot shirts at PGA Tour event days after his shocking DUI arrest

Tiger Woods’ recent DUI arrest sparked a fan trend at the Houston Open, where supporters wore T-shirts featuring his mugshot in a show of solidarity.

Fans of Tiger Woods drew attention at the Texas Children’s Houston Open by wearing T-shirts featuring his recent mugshot, days after the golf star’s arrest for driving under the influence (DUI). Although Woods was not competing in the tournament, supporters displayed shirts with the slogan “#FreeTiger,” sparking reactions across the event.

Woods was arrested in Jupiter, Florida, after a crash involving his SUV while attempting to overtake another vehicle. Authorities said he refused to provide a urine sample, leading to additional charges, although he reportedly passed a breathalyser test at the scene and was later released the same day.

The incident echoes a similar moment in 2024 involving Scottie Scheffler, whose mugshot also became a fan trend during a tournament. Woods, a 15-time major winner, has faced previous legal and injury setbacks, including a prior DUI arrest and a serious car crash in 2021.
