The facility also said some circulating reports about the incident contain inaccuracies and stressed the need to clarify the record while respecting the family’s privacy.
The hospital said the critically ill child was referred from two paediatric centres for specific diagnostics and received care in line with internationally accepted standards, including sedation where indicated. It added that external medical teams were involved at the family’s request, but the patient died less than 24 hours after arrival. An internal investigation has been launched, with assurances of transparency and compassion.
