Clinton demands full release of Epstein files as victims accuse DoJ of cover-up

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has called on the Department of Justice to release all remaining Epstein files, after photographs of him appeared in a recent document dump.

In a statement through his spokesman, Clinton said “someone or something is being protected. We need no such protection,” urging Attorney General Pam Bondi to disclose any materials mentioning or depicting him.

Clinton accused the DOJ of “selective releases to imply wrongdoing about individuals who have already been repeatedly cleared,” warning that withholding files fuels suspicion rather than transparency.

His demand followed complaints by 19 alleged victims of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who accused the government of violating the Epstein Files Transparency Act by withholding documents and failing to protect survivor identities.

Democrats also raised concerns, with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer calling the release “a blatant cover-up” and urging legal action to compel compliance. The DOJ said records would be released on a rolling basis, citing the need to protect victims.

Epstein died in custody in 2019, while Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking crimes.
