APC chieftain Femi Fani-Kayode has mocked the leadership crisis within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), claiming the party is “rejected” by the courts and INEC and should abandon its 2027 ambitions to focus on the 2031 elections.
A CASTRATED BUNCH OF FRUSTRATED CLOWNS…
Given the fact that they have been castrated by the courts and INEC and they no longer have a party and platform to stand and run on, the Association of Destructive C*nts (ADC) now have more to worry about than @realFFK and @renoomokri!… pic.twitter.com/4BSwzeQvst

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Femi Fani-Kayode has sparked fresh political controversy by mocking the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) decision to de-recognize its top leadership. In a post on X on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the former Aviation Minister described the removal of Senator David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola from the INEC portal as a terminal blow to the party’s immediate political relevance. “Given the fact that they have been affected by the decisions of the courts and INEC and they no longer have a party and platform to stand and run on… who are the ones that have been rejected now?” he wrote, asserting that the party has been “rejected by the courts, rejected by INEC, rejected by their original founders and rejected by the Nigerian people.”
Fani-Kayode further dismissed the ADC’s prospects for the upcoming 2027 general elections, suggesting that the party’s current internal crisis has rendered their campaign dead on arrival. He advised the embattled leadership to shift their focus toward a long-term rebuilding process rather than contesting in the next cycle. “May I suggest that they channel all their energy to building up and forming a real opposition party over the next five years and then field a candidate for the 2031 presidential election? Given the circumstances, that is their best bet because 2027 is already lost to them,” he stated. The former minister maintained that the ADC’s predicament was a direct result of its leadership’s failure to offer “concrete solutions” to national issues.
In a scathing critique of the opposition’s tactics, Fani-Kayode accused the ADC of relying on social media manipulation and foreign influence rather than substantive political engagement. He argued that the party’s reliance on “malignant and malevolent trolls” and “fake news” had finally backfired. “This is what happens when all you do is pose for group shots, talk balderdash on television… and lament from morning till night without offering any concrete solutions. Frankly they got what they deserved,” he said. The comments come as the ADC continues to contest INEC’s interpretation of a Court of Appeal ruling that effectively stripped Mark and Aregbesola of their roles as National Chairman and National Secretary, respectively.
