YPP Expels Lawmaker Uzokwe Over Anti-Party Actions
The Young Progressives Party (YPP) National Executive Committee (NEC) has ratified the expulsion of federal lawmaker Uzokwe Peter, representing Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo. The decision, made at a meeting in Abuja, stems from alleged anti-party activities, including verified video evidence.
Uzokwe was quoted urging constituents to support Chukwuma Soludo, stating “YPP is not contesting any election.” National Publicity Secretary Egbeola Martins condemned this as sabotage. Additionally, the NEC elected seven new officers and lauded General Christopher Musa’s appointment.
