A woman recording an attack on the convoy of former Anambra Governor Chris Ngige was shot dead by gunmen disguised in police and army uniforms, while two others were injured
A lady filming an attack on the convoy of former Anambra State Governor Chris Ngige was shot dead on the Nkpor-Nnobi Road, according to a statement by his former spokesman, Fred Chukwulobe. He said the assault, carried out by “suspected assailants” dressed in police and army uniforms, left a policeman and a shop owner injured, though both are expected to recover.
Chukwulobe noted that Ngige was not in the convoy at the time and confirmed that the pilot car was riddled with bullets. He added that the former governor had spoken with him, commiserated with the victim’s family, and promised support for the injured, while the police have yet to issue an official statement.
