Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has dismissed Michael Ango as the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service. The announcement was made by Lere Olayinka, the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant for Public Communication and Social Media.
Following Ango’s removal, the most senior officer of the FCT-IRS is to immediately assume leadership. No official reason for the decision was provided at the time of the report, though Ango was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in August 2024.
