The immediate past chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Magaji, was arrested by the police in Kano and taken to Abuja. His arrest occurred amid ongoing high-profile investigations involving politically exposed persons.
Magaji stated his arrest is linked to his role as lead counsel in the Dala Inland Dry Port case. He was released on bail after over 24 hours, with charges of defamation and malicious allegations, and ordered to surrender his passport.
