‘Video wasn’t AI’ — South African woman in Oshiomhole jet clip fires back

A South African adult content creator linked to the viral private jet video involving Senator Adams Oshiomhole has rejected claims that the footage was AI-generated, contradicting the lawmaker’s denial.

A South African adult-oriented content creator at the centre of the viral private jet video involving Nigerian Senator Adams Oshiomhole has dismissed claims that the footage was generated using artificial intelligence. The woman, identified as a South African lifestyle influencer and explicit content creator, reacted via her Instagram status two days after Oshiomhole described the clip as fake and AI-generated. The short post, seen by SaharaReporters on Friday morning, read: “Video wasn’t AI but okay believe your senator.”

The woman also addressed Nigerians who attacked her online following the emergence of the video, stating: “Your senator is the problem go be mad at him not me.” Her comments have further intensified public debate surrounding the widely circulated clip showing a man resembling Oshiomhole rubbing a woman’s foot aboard what appears to be a luxury private jet. SaharaReporters had earlier reported that the woman in the footage was not Oshiomhole’s wife, contrary to initial speculation that she was Iara Fortes, a Cape Verdean lawyer and former model.

Further checks by SaharaReporters identified the woman as a South African lifestyle influencer and adult content creator associated with the TikTok handle @leshaandagama, Instagram handle @shaandg47, and a former Instagram account, @leshaan_dagama. On her Instagram profile, she described herself as a “professional sugar baby” and urged broke people to “stay away.” The clip, which began trending on Monday, has sparked outrage and renewed discussions about political excess and inequality, even as Oshiomhole, through his media aide Oseni Momodu, denied involvement and described the video as “a poorly crafted and edited fake AI video,” urging the public to disregard it entirely.
