Renowned broadcaster and diplomat Christopher Kolade has died at 93. The former Cadbury chairman and Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK passed away peacefully on Thursday.
Renowned broadcaster, diplomat, and corporate leader, Dr. Christopher Kolade, has died at the age of 93. He passed away peacefully on Thursday.
Born in 1932 in Erin-Oke, Osun State, Kolade began his career in broadcasting, rising to become Director-General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation before moving into the corporate world as Chief Executive and later Chairman of Cadbury Nigeria Plc.
He also served as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and contributed significantly to academia as Pro-Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University and Chancellor of McPherson University, Ogun State.
A respected advocate for ethical governance, Kolade chaired the Integrity Organisation Limited and The Convention on Business Integrity, both focused on transparency in corporate Nigeria.
Dr. Kolade’s life reflected integrity, leadership, and service across public and private sectors, earning him lasting admiration nationwide.
