Lawmaker Ikenga Ugochinyere called on the Federal Government to pay local contractors for completed 2024 capital projects. He joined a protest by the All Indigenous Contractors Association of Nigeria at the Ministry of Finance in Abuja.
Ugochinyere urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene, citing contractors’ reliance on borrowed funds and the positive economic impact of timely payments. He also plans to engage National Assembly colleagues on the issue.
