Turaki-led PDP NWC holds closed-door meeting with Goodluck Jonathan

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Tanimu Turaki, SAN, held a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan at his Maitama office in Abuja on Tuesday. Turaki, accompanied by the full NWC and select state chairmen, arrived at about 5:45 p.m. in a convoy of six SUVs, travelling in six SUVs and escorted by six SUVs, a development taking place amid a worsening leadership recognition crisis within the opposition party. The meeting comes less than a week after INEC failed to formally acknowledge Turaki’s committee, while internal tensions continue to shape conversations around the party’s 2027 ambitions. As the party battles legitimacy concerns, Turaki’s team appears to be consulting key stakeholders, though details of the engagement remain undisclosed, with DAILY POST adding, “Details later…”
