Trump slams Grammys as ‘unwatchable,’ threatens legal action against Trevor Noah

US President Donald Trump has slammed the Grammy Awards as “virtually unwatchable” and accused host Trevor Noah of making a false and defamatory remark about him during the ceremony.

U.S. President Donald Trump has criticised the Grammy Awards ceremony, describing it as “virtually unwatchable” and one of the “worst” award shows. In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump also took aim at broadcaster CBS, saying the network was “lucky” to no longer air what he called “garbage,” while faulting the overall quality of the event.

The president specifically targeted the show’s host, Trevor Noah, whom he compared unfavourably to late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. Trump’s criticism followed a remark made by Noah during the ceremony in which he referenced Trump and former President Bill Clinton in connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump strongly denied the suggestion, insisting he had no link to Epstein’s private island. “I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close,” Trump wrote, adding that he had never previously been accused of such by the media. He described Noah’s comment as incorrect and defamatory, warning that he was considering legal action against the host, whom he called a “pathetic” and “talentless” master of ceremonies, and said his lawyers could pursue a lawsuit for damages.
