Eric Trump urged Hong Kong investors to buy bitcoin, predicting it could hit $1 million, as the Trump family expands its global crypto ventures.
Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, on Friday urged investors in Hong Kong to buy bitcoin, calling it the “greatest asset in the world.” Speaking at the Bitcoin Asia conference, Trump predicted the cryptocurrency would eventually reach $1 million. “There’s no question in my mind that bitcoin hits a million dollars,” he told a packed audience of crypto enthusiasts.
The Trump family has deepened its involvement in the digital asset sector, with American Bitcoin, a mining company backed by Eric and Donald Trump Jr., reportedly eyeing acquisitions in Asia. “We’re about to go public on the NASDAQ very soon, coming up,” Eric Trump said.
His remarks come after the U.S. House passed three major crypto bills last month, with President Trump pledging stronger industry support than his predecessor Joe Biden. Bitcoin recently hit a record high above $124,500. Eric Trump is also scheduled to attend a shareholder meeting of Japanese bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet on September 1.
