STATEMENT BY THE PBAT MEDIA CENTRE ON MISINFORMATION ABOUT ALLEGED DISTRIBUTION OF BUSES FOR 2027 CAMPAIGN BY PRESIDENT TINUBU.
Important to state, and very clearly, that this movement is one sponsored by a support group known as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, one of thousands of such organizations who have believed in the President from his campaign period till date with zero input from Mr President himself.
These groups, long before now, have embarked on several empowerment programs and initiatives, over the past few years, in order to deepen the acceptance of the Renewed Hope agenda and cement the legacies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as he continues to break economic barriers through his various reforms.
While the reactions trailing the movement at this point in time is fully understandable, the excitement of devoted supporters who have chosen to focus on the successes of the administration and drive same message to the grassroots, at a time when the opposition keeps amplifying the challenges while turning a blind eye to the largely positive results, should not in anyway be politicized; especially, when they have been doing same consistently alongside other empowerment programs even before these trying times.
For record purposes,
– Nigeria’s GDP once again grew by 3.98% in the last quarter signifying a stable growth due to the ongoing reforms.
– Inflation rate has dropped to the lowest level in years with the latest figure standing at 16%z
– Students loan scheme has witnessed over 700,000 beneficiaries with applications crossing the 1million mark within 20months.
– The consumer credit scheme has seen the investment of over N30bn in various credit products in order to improve the purchasing power of Nigerians and their standard of living.
– Foreign reserves have grown to over $46bn up from $34bn inherited by President Tinubu’s administration.
– Nigeria’s infrastructural renewal has never seen this much investment at a single point with projects worth trillions of Naira being constructed simultaneously across all the states with exceptional ones including Lagos-Calabar coastal highway, Sokoto-Badagry Highway, Calabar-Abuja Highway, the total rehabilitation of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport to world class standard among others. Indeed, there is no state in Nigeria today where the FG is not working on a project.
– Passport reforms that have reshaped our image on the international stage have been embarked upon by this administration.
– Nigeria’s aviation sector has seen immense growth due to the various interventions and reforms introduced by the administration.
These and many more have been achieved by President Tinubu’s administration in less than 3 years.
The president’s administration continues to tackle the various challenges facing our country heads on without denial of anyone including the recent increase in the spate of criminal attacks by terrorists in the Northern part of the country.
Tagging the activities of support groups, which is not new in anyway within our political world, as that of direct intervention by the President without any evidence to support such claims, is not only disingenuous but also misleading and must be condemned by all.
President Tinubu remains committed to fixing the fundamental issues facing our country and no amount of misinformation will stop this change that has begun.
