President Bola Tinubu held a closed-door meeting with Nigeria’s top security chiefs on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after Defence Minister Abubakar Badaru resigned.
President Bola Tinubu is in a closed-door meeting with heads of Nigeria’s security agencies at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, coming less than a day after the resignation of Defence Minister Abubakar Badaru. Led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, those in attendance include the COAS Lt. General W. Shaibu, CAS Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, CNS Vice Admiral I. Abbas, CDI Lt. General Emmanuel Undiandeye, DSS DG Adeola Ajayi, and IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
The meeting follows escalating security challenges nationwide, and details have not yet been released to the press. President Tinubu had earlier nominated former CDS General Christopher Musa to replace Badaru as Minister of Defence.
