The hero of Bondi has been named. He is Ahmed el Ahmed, a 43 year old fruit shop owner who grabbed the gun off one of the terrorists, he was believed to have been shot in the leg and shoulder by another terrorist.

The man who wrestled a firearm from an alleged gunman at Bondi Beach has been identified by Seven News as a 43-year-old Sutherland fruit-shop owner.
