Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, has welcomed the United States’ military airstrikes on terrorist camps in Sokoto State, describing the development as divine judgment against violent groups. According to a report from Daily Post, no fewer than 12 Tomahawk missiles were fired into terrorist hideouts on Christmas night, following an operation ordered by President Donald Trump in collaboration with the Nigerian government.
Reacting on Sunday, Oyedepo said the intervention marked a turning point in Nigeria’s long-running security challenges, noting that sponsors of terrorism were now in hiding. He said, “I like us not to forget to give thanks to God for the sudden turnaround in Nigeria… Judgment has begun. Give thanks to God for stepping into the affairs of Nigeria… All their sponsors are now hiding, fire is burning and judgment has landed. For the first time, the persecutors are now becoming persecuted.”
