Taraba State University and the State Bureau for Peace and Conflict Management will host a National Conference on Violent Conflicts and Peacebuilding from December 8-11, 2025. Dr. Buhari Miapyen, chairman of the organizing committee, stated the event aims to deepen understanding of conflict dynamics in Taraba.
The conference seeks to strengthen peace-building efforts in Taraba, a state that has seen “remarkable and reassuring” security improvements in the past 20 months under Governor Agbu Kefas. Organizers plan to generate research and offer policy recommendations.
