Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has disclosed that she will be returning to her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, to secure her family’s safety and her brother’s release, according to LEADERSHIP reporting.
In a series of emotional social-media posts on Friday, the actress accused the billionaire politician of using his influence to persecute her family following the arrest of her brother, Samuel ‘Sammy West’ Daniels, and an alleged arrest warrant issued against her mother, Rita Daniels.
The tension reportedly began after Sammy West allegedly confronted Senator Nwoko over claims of domestic abuse against his sister. Following the confrontation, her brother was reportedly arrested and transferred from Lagos to Abuja under unclear circumstances.
Daniels shared a lengthy message expressing despair over her brother’s arrest and alleging police corruption and political interference. She stated: “I give up! What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect but shame on you all!”
Visibly distraught in a video, the actress lamented how she had been mocked online while silently enduring emotional turmoil, stating: “It’s okay to laugh as per oo — when she was flaunting the wealth, were we enjoying it with her? But nobody ever flaunts their sadness because of this very reason — mockery.” Daniels claimed she would return, saying, “I will return if that’s the only way — do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return.” She also shared a screenshot of a message she said was from her mother, which read: “Ned has issued an arrest warrant against me. I should be arrested on or before Monday.”
The actress had stated the arrest was an intimidation tactic aimed at forcing her to return to her husband’s residence and go for rehabilitation from alleged substance abuse. As of press time, Senator Nwoko has not publicly responded to the actress’s recent allegations.
