Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned that the Customs DG and the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service risk removal before the end of the Tinubu administration and cautioned the new IGP about looming challenges and plots.
The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to the Director-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Dr. Bashir Adewale, and the Controller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Sylvester Ndidi, over an alleged plan to remove them from office. In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric claimed that both officials have been pencilled down for replacement by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu before the end of the current administration.
He advised the two officials to seek divine intervention to avert the development. “The Customs DG, Bashir Adewale and the Controller-General of Nigerian Correctional Service need to be very watchful against removal from office. I see their names being penned down for replacement already, except they seek the face of God. They need to pray against a bad record that will see them out of office. They should take this seriously because if care isn’t taken, they will be removed before the end of the current administration,” the clergyman said.
Primate Ayodele also stated that some ministers may not return if President Tinubu secures a second term in office. Speaking on the emergence of Tunji Disu as the new Inspector-General of Police, he described him as well-intentioned but warned of impending resistance. “The new IGP has good plans, but he will be seriously challenged and fought, especially regarding the election. He needs to be careful and watch his back. Not everyone is happy with him. I see some plots against him,” he added.
