The Presidency has dismissed concerns about President Bola Tinubu’s health following a brief stumble during a welcome reception in Ankara, Türkiye, on Tuesday. It said the incident was caused by a poorly laid blue carpet and that the president recovered immediately and continued his official programme.
According to the president’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, Tinubu remained fully engaged in bilateral talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. “Mr President missed his step very briefly and has continued his Bilateral meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. A live press conference is happening immediately after the bilateral,” he said.
