The Sokoto State Police Command recently apprehended suspected bandit financiers and motorcycle thieves in coordinated operations across Sokoto and Zamfara State. Three individuals were arrested in Tangaza Local Government Area for allegedly funding a bandit group through rustled cattle sales.
Commissioner of Police Ahmed Musa described these arrests as a significant blow to the “financial engine room” of banditry. Separately, a raid in Talata Mafara, Zamfara State, resulted in the recovery of stolen motorcycles and arrests related to a theft syndicate.
