A viral online petition calling for the deportation of rapper Nicki Minaj to Trinidad and Tobago has surpassed 25,000 signatures, gaining renewed traction following her recent interview with conservative commentator Erika Kirk. The petition, organized under the name “Pedonika Minaj,” has tagged the White House, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the FBI, and the U.S. Army.
Although the petition was initially created on July 9, 2025, it resurfaced after Minaj, born Onika Maraj, publicly praised President Trump and appeared at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest event in Phoenix, Arizona. Her comments and continued alignment with the Trump administration sparked backlash from fans and critics across social media.
In November, Minaj praised President Trump following his comments on alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria and later defended her position. Her remarks reportedly led to an invitation to speak at the United Nations, where she again thanked President Trump for his “leadership” during a public address.
Weeks later, Minaj appeared on stage with Erika Kirk, widow of former Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk, where she praised President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and members of the administration. The appearance intensified criticism from former supporters, with many citing disappointment over her political stance.
The petition’s “Issue” section includes photos of Minaj and mugshots of her husband, Kenneth Petty, a registered convicted sex offender. The organizer wrote that Minaj is “currently spiraling out of control” and accused her of harassment, intimidation, and defending criminal behavior, arguing that her actions pose a public safety concern.
The petition concludes by calling for Minaj’s deportation to Trinidad as a means of protecting American citizens. Under its “Decision Makers” tab, the White House, ICE, the FBI, and a U.S. Army official are listed. Minaj has previously stated she is not a U.S. citizen and was born in Trinidad and Tobago, despite living in the United States for many years.
