A trailer with failed brakes crashed into two vehicles in Madalla, Niger State, leaving at least seven people dead.
At least seven people lost their lives in a road accident on Friday in Madalla, Niger State, after a trailer with brake failure crashed into a hummer bus and a golf car before bursting into flames.
Eyewitnesses said the crash followed a dispute between the two drivers over compensation for a damaged windscreen. FRSC official Habibu Haruna confirmed that four bus passengers were burnt beyond recognition, while three survivors later died at Lukas Hospital, Madalla.
Trailer driver Sulaiman Rabiu, who was transporting livestock feed from Warri to Kano, admitted: “I lost my brake which led to this accident.”
Police said he remains in custody as investigations continue.
