Millions of naira worth of property were destroyed in a fire incident at No. 1, Road 10, Adepoju Area, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Moroof Akinwande, Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Fire Services Reform, confirmed the blaze, which was reported by Prince Ola at 11:23 am.
Fire services swiftly responded, containing the fire to one three-bedroom flat and preventing its spread. The Federal Fire Service Ibadan Command assisted the Oyo State Fire Services in extinguishing it. Akinwande urged public fire consciousness and the installation of firefighting equipment.
