Prominent Nigerian leaders, including Yemi Osinbajo, Godswill Akpabio, and Bukola Saraki, attended the funeral of Segun Awolowo in Lagos. Awolowo, grandson of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, was the former head of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.
President Bola Tinubu, represented by Femi Gbajabiamila, paid tribute to Awolowo’s dedicated national service. Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dapo Abiodun also attended the service, honoring a man remembered for his integrity and purpose.
