Notorious Enugu native doctor caught fleeing after kidnap victims found buried in compound

The suspect was declared wanted after he fled when the bodies of kidnap victims, including a heavily pregnant woman, were found buried in his compound

High Chief Levi Onyeka Obu, an Enugu native doctor nicknamed “Ezeani” and “E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show,” has been arrested by the Nigerian Immigration Service while attempting to flee the country. The suspect, linked to kidnapping and ritual killings, was declared wanted after decomposing bodies—including that of a pregnant woman—were exhumed from his Unojo compound in Ezeagu LGA. A 13-year-old girl was rescued alive during the raid.

Authorities confirmed: “The suspect was intercepted at a land border before escaping.” Locals described Obu as a “feared figure” who operated under the guise of traditional healing.
