NiMet has projected dust haze in the North and thunderstorms in parts of the South from Monday to Wednesday, advising vulnerable residents to take precautions.
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has forecast dust haze and cloudiness across the country from Monday to Wednesday, with moderate to thick haze expected in parts of the North. In its weather outlook released in Abuja, the agency said northern states, including Borno and Yobe, would experience reduced visibility ranging from two to five kilometres, while the North-Central would witness slight to thick haze during the period.
NiMet predicted cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine across the South, alongside chances of morning thunderstorms over parts of Cross River and Akwa Ibom. It added that thunderstorms with light rains are expected later in the day in Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta. The agency urged residents, especially those with respiratory conditions, to take necessary precautions as dust particles remain in suspension.
