Nigerians saying food Is becoming cheaper, Oshiomhole claims

A former governor of Edo State and senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has claimed that Nigerians are beginning to complain that food prices are falling, attributing the development to the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu, as he made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television on Wednesday while responding to questions on what the president could rely on as campaign points for re-election, stating that “There are Nigerians now who are saying food is becoming too cheap,” and adding that the administration’s policies were yielding results, noting, “I even heard some opposition member saying the president is manipulating food prices to crash. So they are angry that the food prices are down,” while the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress also threw his weight behind Tinubu’s tax reform laws, insisting that they align with progressive ideals, saying, “The facts on the ground show that President Tinubu’s tax policy is consistent with the values of a progressive government,” and further explaining that, “And this is a progressive tax policy that places a higher burden on those who earn more while offering tax exemptions to those who earn less.”
