The Nigerian government stated it cannot trace terrorists who flaunt ransom on social media. A presidential spokesperson said this is because they use untraceable internet services like Elon Musk’s Starlink.
The official explained Starlink is not registered in Nigeria and operates from space. He added that terrorists also use cellular services from neighboring countries, which complicates tracking efforts by security agencies.
