The Nigerian government has halted the sale of its Boeing 737-700 Business Jet due to low offers from prospective buyers. The bids received were significantly below the government’s valuation for the 20-year-old aircraft.
The decision comes as part of a cost-cutting drive and fleet rationalization effort. Despite recent upgrades, the jet’s age and lack of engine maintenance program enrollment dampened buyer interest, leading to its withdrawal from the market.
