Ndume criticizes Tinubu ambassadorial list, cites federal character breach

Senator Ali Ndume criticized President Bola Tinubu’s 65 ambassadorial nominees, urging their withdrawal due to alleged breaches of the federal character principle. He stated the list exhibits unfair representation across states and geopolitical zones.

Ndume also questioned the inclusion of a deceased senator on the list. The Senate received the nominees and referred them to the Foreign Affairs Committee for screening, expected to be rigorous.
