Police have launched a full investigation to determine the cause of death.
Tragedy struck at King’s College, Lagos, on Saturday evening as a 48‑year‑old teacher, Mr. Ezekiel Akano, was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a classroom.
The discovery was made around 7:40 p.m. by staff members. Vice Principal Mr. Oguniyi Ayodele promptly notified the Lagos State Police Command.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the incident via his X handle on Sunday, citing police sources. He said detectives cordoned off the scene, took photographs, and carried out a preliminary inspection, which revealed no visible signs of violence.
The deceased, a native of Oyo State, was rushed to Lagos Island Hospital, Odan, where a doctor confirmed him dead on arrival. His body was deposited in the morgue for autopsy.
