Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has said that states are now receiving increased allocations from the Federation Account, urging those who claim there is no money to stop misleading the public. Speaking on the role of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), which distributes revenue to the three tiers of government, the governor insisted that state governments now have access to more funds than before.
Oborevwori made the remarks on Monday during the ceremony marking the construction of the N39.3 billion Otovwodo flyover project in Ughelli North Local Government Area. He said there was no justification for concealing the truth from Nigerians, stressing that more money is flowing to the states and should be used for development projects that directly benefit the people, rather than being denied or downplayed.
